nw NC | I have grown both forage sorghum and Sudan-sorghum for silage harvest. Both planted in 36" rows using 6 to 7 lbs./acre. Both yielded well .
1st picture below is Sudan-sorghum.
2nd is a corn field that crows damaged greatly, pulling up corn seedlings. I replanted the field with S-S running right on top of what corn survived the crows. Most of that corn survived being run over and both the corn and S-S grew into a good crop of silage . The S-S grew taller than the corn.
