Subject: Strainer Placement Ahead of Flow Meter

Central KY
Running a pull type sprayer controlled by a Versa and a Raven 15P flow meter. The way it is currently set up, there is no strainer anywhere from the tank to the flow meter, only an individual strainer just past each section control valve. I've had problems with "junk" getting in the flow meter this season, causing it to completely quit working. I'm tired of taking that thing apart in the middle of the field and want to put a strainer somewhere ahead of the flow meter. Cleanest place to mount it would be just ahead of the flow meter, basically attaching it to the inlet side of the flow meter. Will this cause any problems, or does it need to be mounted elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.
