Bush Hog has two fantastic PTO shaft ID documents in their master parts catalog. Many parts guys don’t know they are there. One is for CV drivelines and one is for conventional shafts.

I couldn’t get the conventional shaft bulletin to download. The shaft bulletins are in the drop down menu on the left of this page.

Identifying the brand and series of your shafts will help you find shields in the aftermarket. A&I is a good source once you identify what you want.
And a Bush Hog model and serial number is just about useless for your needs most of the time.
