That's interesting that you have both the TREX and Menards.
This is what we're going back and forth in our decision.
Menards would b the cheaper of the 2?? wouldn't it?
What is the style name of both of yours?

I like both. The trex was from a local lumber yard because of the contractor we used. He decided to not use hidden fasteners, but did gap the planks so they still lay flat. There is some moss on it after 8 years. I am satisfied with it.

Our back deck is the menards ultra deck rustic. It was high priced too, but cheaper that trex. We did buy it on their 11% rebate promotion. We had an excellent carpenter install it. It is time consuming to install correctly. the rails takes an experienced carpenter. A handrail has faded more than expected, which seems to be the main complaint with ultradeck.
