Subject: Drain tile question

Moreauville LA
These veins of damp ground. The spots are not low or poorly drained. They appear to be remnants of old stream meanders from ancient times. That can be seen in the last pic.

Is drain tile perforated? I have never been around it. And if so, would it help address this issue.

These areas just don't produce well. Early on, they are wet and cold and the crop doesn't grow off well, then when the heat of summer comes, they burn up. Corn is the worst. Soybeans usually show a deficiency then grow out of it. In the 2000's I had sugarcane on this ground and it has been the only crop that didn't show the effects then and for about 5 yrs after.

I have been right here since born in 1970 and want to fix this. I will dig a moat and try to cut one off, just to see.
