Depends mostly on your grade.
If you are spacing your laterals on 50 foot centers, you will drain about 4.5 acres in a 3/4 mile run.
I would not recommend less than a 3/8" drainage coefficient.
On a tenth grade (.1%) that means you would need to start with a 5" tile. You could drop to 4" half way across.
If you have a 1% grade, or even a 1% grade on the lower half of the lateral, you could get by just fine with a 4" all the way.
You will need a big main if you have many laterals like that.
