I have tried spraying slugs in winter Rape seed ( also known as Canola ).
I used Copper Sulphate and it works but only when the slugs are directly hit. You can actually watch the slugs turn grey right after they are hit by the dose and leave their slime cover behind. Then they dry out and die shortly.

The product is not legal for us to use against slugs but it is legal to use for applying Copper to crops so that is what I did.
