Chebanse, IL.....

We didn't get any "brakes" from anyone in '15 either. Nor in '18. Did you think otherwise?

So far, haven't gotten any real "brakes" from anyone in '19...but a lot of rhetoric, ideas, promises, and out-of-state jealousies & regional criticisms.

The cover crop incentives (I'm still not sure of need) all come with a "hitch" so far. I"m sure you & everyone else know how it goes. You talk to a neighbor & they say, "we heard that XXX will pay for cover crops if you put them in.....". That sounds pretty open-ended, doesn't it. You call the XXX agency & get the real details & paperwork necessities and find out it's not open-ended. In fact, it might not happen at all for you because there will be more application than money & if you don't meet the grading criteria.....well, you're back with who you started. Yourself. You realize when they say the first step is to fill out an "application form", there is good chance for less than you hope for.

Say....how have those Syngenta settlements worked for everyone so far? Can you realize how many farmers have died since they applied for that one?
