WC IL | Not just the I states, you can even do it in Missouri, so get over it.
Reality is there won’t be enough acres affected by this to make much difference in the big picture. How many farms in the I states even have cattle? How many row crop farmers who haven’t been any closer to a cow in 25 years than with a fork and knife are going to rush out and plant CC so they can make hay when they are gettting ready for harvest? I’d guess not many.
There may be parts of fields that make 200, maybe, if things go perfectly from here on. But the 15-25% of almost every field that’s going to make from zero to fifty will drag things down. I don’t think I can drive by a field within 30 minutes of home that will average 150. I can drive by several hundred acres within 5 miles that will average under 75. Missing plants don’t produce ears. | |
