Subject: RE: Farrow to finish vs wean/feeder to finish

Used to work at a 2200 head sow farm and I absolutely loved it. If the money was right id go back. Work for a farmer south of us and have agreements with multiple neighbors to take the manure. Also have an understanding with the boss that when livestock shows up, they get priority. Ive got plenty of cheap help (the future Mrs. loves livestock as much as I do. As for loading out finished pigs, if my math is right a potload is 175-180 hogs. That's about the number of pigs I'll expect to have farrowing 3 groups of 15 at separate times.
