Count on you to jump to conclusions and make ignorant comments. Yes, this program exists. I'm pretty sure the friend knows what he's talking about.

We use Informed Delivery, and it saved us from major embarrassment/late fees. A few months ago, on the 5th and sixth of the month, a substitute mail carrier decided not to deliver our mail. Informed delivery showed that we had 6 bills scheduled to arrive those two days. After waiting a couple more days, I contacted the post mistress and asked about it. A few hours later, she called back and said they found them in the bag the substitute had used along with mail for several neighbors. They were delivered the next day by our regular carrier. If we hadn't been signed up for Informed Delivery that bag may have set in the corner until past the due dates of the bills.


It was the “informed” part that sonic couldn’t grasp.
