Morris, IL | In 2017 and 2018 I did,
Fall had dry fertilizer in strip 10-15lb N. Planter had 30-50lb with 2x2. Y drop twice side by side with normal sidedress NH3. I made sure the sidedress pass was same $ of UAN as NH3. NH3 won by a little both years like 5 bushel.
Decided will sidedress NH3 until I can’t, use sprayer as backup only. NH3 is always so hard for me to get done, pulls like a bear in our soils and can’t get seal I want so am always questioning myself. I do like getting out there in June and get job done for year.
