Was brainstorming with my uncle this week and we were talking about a “Cadillac” N program that wouldn’t be overly complicated.
We came up with a pre plant N (50%), followed by a waste high drop tube app of another 25% and then an app above shoulder high with the final 25%.
Anyone doing something similar and seeing above average results or is this overly complicating he process?
Could also be done with row crop dry spinner too...
Just Y drop it once at v6-v10, Becks studies usually show a yield loss trying to split the sidedress up.... Only time I think you would gain is if it rain a ton after sidedress and/or you have really sandy soils that the N would leach |
