South Eastern VA | Crimson clover is a good, it has a big seed and lay there for a long time and then germinate.
I don’t know what your winters are like though? Here in Virginia it will make it through no problem. It gets about four or so inches tall and then when spring comes it takes off pretty quick.
I like annual rye as well and have no problems killing it with glyphosate. I know some guys will say it can become a weed problem but I’ve never seen that.
You absolutely have to wait until the weather is warm and consistent though. | |
