| I have a herd seeder. I got it disked up pretty good maybe one more pass. Still have some residue that I think will collect in the harrow. Plan on pulling the harrow till field is smooth enough to drive a tractor fast. So I guess I will spread fertilizer and harrow till it's to my liking and broadcast out the kliengrass seed. Could not find a setting for kliengrass seed for herd spreader. How fast can you travel using it? Seen a YouTube video of a guy spreading clover with atv and gps lightbar and he was really booking it.
Seems I could have the field preped and watch the radar even for a rain and get out there and spread it before the rain.
Going to try the herd out in a couple of days with some old kliengrass seed to kind of calibrate it (about 30-40% pure love seed) on some pasture will see what that does too.
I didn't even know we had a herd spreader apparently it was in the barn. Wish it had a bigger hopper but oh well. | |
