East Central Ia, S. Waterloo | You must be talking the orings where the male coupler plugs in, just did mine a few weeks ago. I used a dental pick type tool to pull the old ring out or in my case one of them was just pieces. Then work the new Teflon ring in pull it forward in the groove and slip the oring part through the Teflon ring and behind it. I did four barrels each one got easier, you learn how to hold them so they sort of curve into the groove then you can massage them in the rest of the way. Was worried I couldn't do it till I tried but with a little patience it's not that hard. My original rings were some sort of single ring for cold weather, I was worried they gave me the wrong part when I got the two piece kit (part no. 0101-030) but they are working fine.
edit: Forgot to mention take off the plastic/rubber faceplate gets you in a lot closer.
