Southeast WI
Pizzaria Uno and Duo are great. I think they are the originals downtown and we've been to both at Christmas time. Shedd Aquarium for several hours and museum of science and industry which is one day in itself. Haven't been to the natural history museum or whatever it's called but heard good things. Go to the Willis (Sears) tower on a clear day and stand outside the building 1400' up in the glass boxes. Just walking downtown is an experience in itself. Take a river boat out into Lake Michigan. Others will have a lot more ideas. Not sure if any shows are taped in Chicago anymore. We saw Jerry Springer in the early 90's and it was wild. Kkk guys squaring off against black folks protesting them during taping and then at lunch we all ate together in the cafeteria. And all were talking - hmmm, all this crap is STAGED.

Have fun, just know where to stay away from at night. Hope you stay right downtown. It's fun.
