Subject: RE: Bear hunting in northeastern Minnesota around Grand Marais

central - east central Minnesota -

farmrn - 6/16/2019 18:16 Will be black bear hunting north of Grand Marais around devil track lake in early September. Any tips, what can i expect for weather and temps. Thanks in advance.

Guided hunt ? I assume it is, if not - you'll need to be there week or two early to "bait" the bears. Weather can be nice and cool or wet and cool. Black flies can be around yet (biting). Very, very, very nice area. Take time for hiking to the various water falls and trails in the area. Being rain gear and heavier late fall, early winter clothing and light weight clothing. Ask your guide too - they are most helpful (assuming you are going out guided).
