NW ILLINOIS | We had a "basement dewatering system" put in about 6 years ago.
It has a plastic baseboard glued to the floor and is up against the outside
walls. They drill holes thru the floor / wall at a 45 degree angle so water
can seep / run in.
In two corners of the basement they dig a pit for sump pumps.
Works pretty good, but expensive.
As we have discovered this year, it does not prevent water pressure
under the floor. It will seep thru the cracks in the floor.
