Anything that has a base to summit climb of 4000 feet is a mountain, and a big one at that. Regardless of what the summit elevation is. Only a few of the Colorado 14ers require 4000 feet of actual elevation gain to climb from the base to the summit. Or should I say from where you can park a vehicle to start the climb.
