Subject: Volunteer corn in Corn on Corn and Yield loss?

How much yield loss can a person expect from bad volunteer corn in continuous corn?

Normally I see very little volunteer corn but had one major problem field this year. I had one late(wet field) planted field of Corn that has a terrible volunteer corn problem. How much yield loss am I going to take from this? I'm trying to figure out of I need to go borrow a cultivator and try and clean it up. I will say that this field got manure on it from the bottom of a hog pit. When I got the manure analysis back, I can say that there is at least 400# of N/acre on this field which is easily enough for two crops. I assuming the excess N is causing some of the growth in the volunteer corn.

As side from being just plain embarrassing, what's this mess going to cost me???
