| I could see the tile chunk in the bottom left corner of the second picture. Good proof it was prior converted. That should dry out pretty quickly now. Last Friday I dug in a main through a gently sloping sidehill that had standing water. The water was not very deep so I was able to levy around the trench as I dug and then install the pipe right away. I was down into the clay so that made a decent levy and the trench bottom held its shape. The next day the water on the downside of the main was already gone, but there was still water above it- classic sidehill seep. Now to get some laterals above that seep to cut off the water. I also have to wait for another wet spot to dry a bit more so I can finish plowing in the mains. I almost got stuck surveying it and had to turn out before I finished. I need the mains in to start the laterals. It has been a challenging spring for tiling. | |
