northeastern Ohio | Yep. Same here in northeast Ohio. Finished corn last weekend. Almost done with first cutting hay (second cutting will be ready this week). No soybeans planted.
My original burndown was the last week of April, so I did another burndown this week in the hopes that I could plant some beans soon..... Forecast is calling for rain everyday until next Friday..... so it looks like beans will be planted the last week of June this year.
Corn has been under water many times in the last month and looks pretty spotty. I sold a good chunk of old crop corn yesterday for $4.65. I still have 20% of my 2018 to sell yet. Looks like basis will be good because the local crop looks terrible and late. | |
