NW Ohio
Field has been in the family for atleast 50 years. The house my grandfather raised his family in used to sit back in this general area before being pulled up closer to the road by a team of horses. I am assuming the well belongs to that homestead, but unfortunately he passed this last fall so the history book is gone. This field in specific has a history of unearthing surprises though. My father tells me in the 70's they found a well he claims was approx. 6' in diameter, and last fall I pulled up 3 old I beams from a deconstructed bridge (My grandfather knew right where it came from).

I am mindboggled that we didn't find it with the disc ripper. At one point we rented the ground to our neighbor who also ripped it every fall. He was equally astonished they had never found it either.
