I realize the cotter pins are for shear protection. I know from previous discussions that you are a white fan. I had a 6180 and it soured me on White forever. I tried to offer accurate information based on my experience. I went through the warped seed meter disc era of White planters. That, and bad bearings are probably why I sheared pins. Again, undersized and cheaply made. And the flimsy reed switches and poor solenoids were very frustrating. Thanks for reminding me why I switched brands. And I’ve never owned a finger pickup meter either. Well, until now that is. I have a replant planter with them and they do seem to turn extremely hard.

I had my first plate warp since 1987 this year

had planter 12 years and this year a plate warped
