Have no experience with the Bauer Impact. My son bought a Bauer drill and was very dissatisfied with it. I have both the 1/2" and 3/8" Earthquake cordless impacts and have been very satisfied with them. The poster above who said you have to be careful with the 1/2" or you will twist off bolts, is correct. I broke some rim clamps (double bevel rim type) on a tractor with my 1/2". Patrick
