WC Mn/Dakotas | Well said chuck and tim. You do everything you can, there is always going to be some combination of any number of issues that take 600 bu potential down to 200 (or whatever). While you cant control the weather, you can minimize the negative effects with good management. Sure we are behind, but here if we start at 5-6-19 we are at 414 gdu, thats -48 gdu behind 5 yr avg, -85 from 5 yr avg, and -214 from last year. I dont think we are really all that far behind. There is 1900 gdu to go in the next 12-16 weeks (that time frame is normally 2450-2550 gdu total), that is very doable. | |
