| I am a dentist so I may be biased but:
It will be hard for people to give you an accurate cost estimate to "pull all your teeth and slap in dentures". Depends how many remaining teeth and how difficult the case will be. Different dentists and specialists will have different fees for this also. The dentures themselves, the cost will vary depending on the lab and how they are being made and where.
As for your other question, I would recommend saving natural teeth if it is at all feasible. Going from natural teeth to complete dentures is a huge change - the dentures can take alot to get used to and there will likely be a big change to your diet.
Especially on the bottom; if it is possible to save even a few teeth on the bottom we always do (full lower dentures are much more uncomfortable).
If no teeth are savable at all then we often plan for a complete denture on the top and some type of implant-denture on the bottom. | |
