southcentral Minnesota | Yesterday we saw a change in expected acres to be planted, we dropped to 89.8 from 92.8. Monday’s crop progress was 83% planted so is there 74.5 million acres planted or are we actually at about 86% with 77 million planted?
Really matters not just because percent planted increases as each day goes by and the decision to plant or PP is made, at some point no more corn will be planted and the country will be 100% done.
Pre report combined there was about 48 million acres of planting to be done, 15 corn, 33 beans. Don’t know what the double crop number is this year, wheat harvest speed and haven’t heard or seen much of canning crops. | |
