King City, Mo
We moved into the market garden by accident and really enjoy it.

The income per acre is amazing compared to rowcrops.

We are 4 years into it and once we started the kettle corn/gourmet popcorn things changed.

People will pay more and it's more profitable to sell ready to eat stuff like kettle corn or gourmet popcorn.

Cotton Candy has good margins and sells very well too.

Last event we took 9 bags of freshly cut lettuce, 8x15" stuffed for $3 and heat sealed unwashed.

30 or so bags of cotton candy 12x20" at $8 each

We sold outta cotton candy before the end of the event and brought 5 bags of lettuce home..........
