My big old tractor overheated a bit from working near 90 degrees disking in mud. We don’t do tillage in the heat normally, or in June.....

No big deal, but then it kept losing coolant, sort of randomly.

Long story short, the upper radiator hose had a pinhole that would seal or open, randomly, and spray a couple inches onto the fan shaft or the water pump housing.

Seems so simple now, but it was difficult to figure out in the heat of battle this June, wanting the wife to run the tractor while I did other things but I don’t want the tractor fried, and standing around in these gnats. While a month late trying to get a crop in.

Even the simple things become a mountain on a year like this.
