Nw Iowa
Agreed Mn Corn farmer, we went thru it last year also with no help. Most of corn last year went in around June 1-4 and no help. Lots of pp also here last year. Our beans were well under our avg but we received only on bushels produced. Program didn’t get introduced till after planting last year so some pp fields in soy also, they got nothing. You have insurance options before planting, that is what they are there for. I really feel for you guys and I understand trying to equal payments so don’t bash me but hate government moving rules around after game has started.
Other issue is poor guy that does his darnest to put crop in and gets a 1/2 crop. So now he gets 1/2 of trump payment and no pp help. This also happened on a couple of fields here last year. Personally if they are going to make a payment at all, tie it to normal aph and be done with it.
