Subject: Two Trucks in One Week

Texas
In the last week, we have had two pickups go down on us. A few days ago, Dad called me and asked if I could come pick him up off the side of the road. We ended up towing that truck home with our cube feeding truck. That truck is repairable, but will require a few days of shop work to get going again. Simple explanation of the problem is an oil filter change that went wrong.

Today, Dad and I were in the cube truck. Four miles after talking about what a good truck it was it stopped running without warning. Had to haul it home. Appears to have major engine damage.

We then decided to take my car (which prefers to stay on pavement) to finish running errands. As Dad climbed into the passenger seat he commented that we were “off to the next disaster.” I put the car in drive and promptly ran over a small pile of rocks that I forgot was in front of me. Thankfully, my car did not appear to sustain any damage and the rest of the day was uneventful.

Definitely has not been a good week for the vehicles around here.
