The dairy cows left awhile back but as bad as the dairy business looks, why do you want back in? Hating what you are doing is bad, but so is bankruptcy. Could you even get a coop to take your milk? Better check that first.
My experience from when we expanded was that dry, pregnant cows or bred heifers worked the best for us. Changing the ration, the handling, the milking setup, all threw the milking girls for a loop until we dried them off and they calved again. | |
