The Green Hills of Missouri | I have terrible trouble with it in my Canary grass hay field in areas where the Canary grass hasn't filled in. Again this year it will get baled late and the Cheat will be headed out and probably going to seed before the soil will be dry enough to mow and bale. Cattle will get seeds in there eyes and even wedged down along the gum line in there mouth and causing terrible sores!
I get along fine feeding it if i process it with silage in a TMR, but not by itself.
If it was me and the hay was FREE I'd be interested, but only if it could be fed with wet feed or add water to ration. |
