I'll tag along with Paul . For one thing , was always told " no block bigger than 100 sq.ft. on saw cuts . All concrete cracks , properly engineered concrete does not separate . At the very least , assuming you have a properly prepared base for your pad and assuming you are against spending the extra for reinforcement , have you thought of industrial fiber in the mix ? It is heavier than regular fiber . Proper compaction and establishment of the base is most important and most overlooked .
