So due to some unforeseen circumstances, I might be in the market for a hay mower. I would like a disc mower but realize those might be out of my price range. Mow around 45 to 55 acres per cutting x 4. Mostly alfalfa grass hay mix, some waterways hay. Would like to stay under 10k. Have a 85hp tractor 180 HP and 250hp tractor to pull it with. What would you guys look at and why. Have Deere, agco, NH, macdon, kuhn, and Vermeer dealers close. Only requirement is rolls only, no flail conditioners.
I don't know if you're going to find any type of more for under ten thousand. Vermeer makes a three point mower that is 9 ft wide that I think you could get for under ten thousand , but I'm not sure about the other options out there unless you can find something good used. I've had great luck with our Vermeer Trail mower so far |
