Turnips are miserable to mow, a round ball half in and half out of the ground. Messes up a sickle bar pretty bad as they want to plug or roll under and cause issues.
They don’t dry down right for dry hay, and not sure they would match up for wet wrapped hay even?
Raddish at least aren’t balls, but would have similar issues.
