My son found one that looks pretty decent but we haven't put eyes on it yet. Never been around one at all and no clue what they are worth. Also this one has the drawbar style hitch so not sure since it's on 1,000 pto if we will have to adjust tractor drawbar length each time switching from 540? This one has one rubber and one steel roller and a little roller under them. It's that hoe they all are? Also how well do they pull behind a pickup?
If you look at the official standards for the hitch pin to pto end point for both a 540 rpm and a 1000 (1 3/8) you will find that there is 2 inches in difference between the two. The 1000 rpm (1 3/8" dia) distance is exactly 2" longer.
You may not have any issues but you will be compressing the shaft length when you're running the 540 rpm and that can affect your PTO drive line. YMMV |
