What ages are the kids?

When we were looking one friend had a newer Ford explorer and another friend had a newer gmc Acadia. So we invited both over to check out there vehicles we put our car seats in both. From what we found out in the Ford explorer with a rear facing infant seat with a base mount you have to have the passenger seat slid about as far foward as possible and there was no leg room for the passenger. In the GMC Acadia we could have the same seat installed behind the passenger seat and have the seat slid all the way back and it would just touch. Unless you never drive when in the family car or your wife is three foot tall I would advise against the explorer.

On a side note we bought a minivan. And never looked back.
