| Hello all..
Our area has suffered huge forage loss due to winterkill.. lots and lots of hay Fields being culled out..
Which brings me to my question if anyone has advice on no tilling sorghum-sudan into a hay field once we harvest the poor first cutting?? I've read many posts saying how well it's worked for people no tilling it in to the stubble of wheat but not much on Hay
Soil temperatures are just not where they need to be yet for S.S so we're putting all of our worked ground into corn silage right now
Thanks!
PS. plowing up a hay field and then planting it into sorghum would also be an option, but I'm afraid the sodchunks will make a poor sees bed. It's going to be the Year of taking risks to get the cattle fed!
