The calves are finally starting to soften up i think. We filled a couple pens this week, our orders had went unfilled for 2 weeks now, maybe 3.

I think you just have to use good sense. Buying a 8xx$ 5 wt or a 900$ 6 wt just hard to pencil when a 800lb steer isn’t even bringing 1100$.

Our avg buy this past week was 500lb cost 735$ 100% black steers and bulls prob 75% steers 25% bulls, one load was a set of home raised steers.


Good buy Luke-with back rounding and futures on fats would be $200 profit locked in today-no risk -you might have to wait 360 days


no-risk cattle feeding is the kind I like
