Ha. Not new to us. The lighter soils here, harden up bad. Surprised actually that you of all people wouldn't understand that. It's a given that wheat and rye will harden the ground here, disc didn't want to cut very good the first pass, I'll get it deeper tomorrow after fert goes on. Rule of thumb here, cereal crops harden the ground, beans loosen. I would tell you where here is,,,but that would take all the fun out of it. Tell our friend Ben, Hi,,,looked a little frazzled last time I saw him recently,,too many shorts in his hot wire
Rye is the worst down this way it seems. Cut it off and 12 hours later it's like concrete.
