Subject: Sorghum Sudan grass behind wheat

Have alfalfa to cut but we are still finishing up planting our other crops. We drove over two fields and noticed a bunch of blanks from either wet weather or winter kill. We are about two weeks out on cutting wheat and wanted to maybe notill some sorghum sudan grass for bailage. What’s everyone’s opinion on Sudan? I’ve heard it makes great and is easy to cut but we’ve never tried it. Do you drill it or plant it? Thought on 15 inch rows would work good for our notill thought but our drill is 7.5 inch and we’d have to work wheat stubble to sow our drill isn’t a notill drill. Thanks for any info.
