Aren't you a livestock operation? Why not plant sorghum Sudan and clovers asap, then cut for hay after nov 1. Leave enough stubble height so the clover to overwinter. Plant corn green into it next year. You'll get a TON of feed, plus free N for your crop next year. Spraying and tillage would be a complete waste.
