Been doing it for years. Fall. spread P&K then disc then. In spring make pass with field finisher then plant. Zero fall tillage last fall...all our standing stalks will be PP if the forecast holds true the next 48 hrs. Be done planting for the year.

I do have one farm I notill, due to topography, but 90% of our acres are done as you describe.

Too late for corn, planting beans on beans.
