Fall tillage stalks. Does just disking help come spring?

yes, anytime you work part of the residue under and get soil showing it helps the ground dry out in the spring. also when the residue is burred it helps it decompose.

Fall worked ground will always go before not touched ground. Would be handy for you when time is crunched working and are off these days and then not off those days.

If the disk did a good enough job in the fall and the days you were off it was dry enough you could no till into the stalks.
