No, splits will not grow. There are usually some that get split during handling. 90% that germinate is good. This year the seed quality isn’t as good in some areas. I had some seed marked 85% germination. Smaller seed, like 3600 seeds per pound, will grow fine but I would opt to plant it more shallow if possible. JMO

Edit: it depends on the variety and weather on how big the bean tends to get. What do yield results from previous years look like on the variety you’re growing?
