S.C. Wisconsin | As it stands now it's like the wild west as there are very little regulations. The hemp we raise gets tested by the state only to check that the THC level is below a certain threshold. There are a lot of bogus products out there with misleading labels as their is very little enforcement. My daughter has been buying CBD oil from reputable grower that has the product 3rd party tested and she also does random test because with their business their name is on the line. The small amount we raised last year got all used in her proprietary skin balm she makes. She test that herself to make sure it has the right amount of CBD in the product that she labels. I don't know about other growers but ours will be raised organically, but there really are no regulations in place as far as pesticides. | |
