Southeast WI | No, I'm plenty aware of my surroundings all the time. Obviously there are places one does not need to travel into in every city. And sure there are places in "nice" areas too, that could be trouble. However the level of paranoia from some is interesting. I go back to the first time we took our family to New Orleans (my second trip) and it was amazing how several posters claimed I shouldn't do that and basically stock up on weapons. Been back again this past year with the school group and that is not my take home message.
